Is it true that not all singers have a true talent?

I’ve heard that a lot of modern singers today can’t actually sing very well, but they use a computer-type-thing to make their voice sound electronic, which many people like, but can they actually sing? I hear a lot of songs on CDs or on the radio and they sound fine, but then I’ll see/hear them in a concert, and they don’t sound very good. Is it just a coincidence, and they have a cold or something, or is it that these popular artists cant sing? I especially am wondering about…

I know that the above have really electronic voices in most of their songs…do you think they can sing well?
To clear it up for one of your answers, I know that everyone has a talent I just mean a singing talent.

Which singers are actually good when performing live?

All the “singers” sound amazing on their album, but when I watch them live, they absolutely suck.

Notable good ones:
Jason Mraz (sounds exactly like his album, probably the best live)
Miley Cyrus (kinda, not super good though)
Pussycat Dolls (pretty good)
Coldplay

Notable bad:
Jonas Brothers!!! (especially the slow songs)
Katy Perry (sort of)
Plus like everyone else

There are very few good ones…
