Misheard lyrics?
Have you ever heard a song so often that you *think* you know all the lyrics? And then when you finally look them up, you were totally wrong on some parts? Well, if you have, share your experiences here!
Just now, on the VH1 channel, The Pussycat Dolls’ song “When I Grow Up” was on tv. I could’ve sworn that this was what they were saying:
When I grow up
I wanna be famous
I wanna be a star
I wanna be in movies
When I grow up
I wanna see the world
Drive nice cars
I wanna have BOOBIES
hahaha… The real word is “groupies”, not “boobies” lol. That’s my most recent trouble with hearing lyrics right.
A few weeks ago I posted a question on here about a song that I wanted to find, but could only remember some lyrics that I *thought* were right… turns out, I was totally wrong, but I had the right band. Here’s that one:

Brilliant Lewis Hamilton Wins Monaco Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton started this year’s Monaco Grand Prix in third position on the grid, behind the two Ferraris of Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen, and knew it would take a top drive to get between them, let alone win.
But after last year’s Monaco F1, when Lewis finished second when he could have won, nothing it seems was going to stop him – and in the process take the lead in the drivers championship too.
Unusually for Monaco the weather proved challenging, and rain for 20 minutes before and the first ten laps of the 2008 Monaco Grand Prix proved to be a real challenge for every driver on the circuit, and it was lap 20 before the sun really came out and the track dried.
With no traction control this year, the Monaco F1 was even more of a race of driving skill over car performance, and the Ferrari one-two earned in qualifying disappeared immediately from the start as Lewis Hamilton overtook current World Champion Kimi Raikkonen to slip into second place.
The unusually slow pace for the first ten laps still took its toll, with Monaco resident Jensen Button losing a front wing, and fellow Monaco resident David Coulthard crashing out shortly after, and Lewis Hamilton crashed into a barrier with a rear tyre puncture on the sixth lap at Tabac Corner but recovered after a pit stop.
Indeed it could have been the pit stop that helped Lewis to victory, as the McLaren team re-fuelled the car, enabling Lewis Hamilton to carry on with just one more pit stop necessary to the finish.
Other points of note for driver performance were the disappointing drives of Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen (involved in no less than four incidents) and Felipe Massa, while on the positive BMW’s Robert Kubica had an excellent Monaco Grand Prix to come second, picking up his trophy from Princess Caroline, and Force India’s Adrian Sutil who would have come fifth and picked up World Championship points but for Kimi Raikkonen crashing into him just before the final laps.
Hamilton had built up an impressive 30 second plus lead before his final pit stop, allowing him to re-join the race comfortably leading, but the safety car was called out for the second time in the race, leaving Hamilton’s lead in shreds.
Of all the Grand Prix, Monaco is the most testing for drivers by far around the streets of Monte Carlo, but Hamilton kept a cool head to win, with Prince Albert presenting Lewis with the winners’ trophy.
Lewis called in on his radio to the McLaren team on his victory lap that they would party tonight – and with the Pussycats Doll Nicole Scherzinger Lewis’ guest for the weekend, it should be a party Monaco will remember!
The final positions for the 2008 Monaco Grand Prix (the 2009 race is Sunday 24 May) are:

Britney Spears Tickets-Britney Spears Celebrates 27!
Britney Spears had a whole lot more than her 27th birthday to celebrate on Dec. 2! The pop star’s comeback was in full force on Dec. 2 with a circus theme to commemorate her album Circus, also released that day. New York nightclub Tenjune was transformed into a full-fledged three-ring circus for Brit’s birthday bash, which was attended by her mom Lynne as well as celebs like Jeremy Piven, Lance Bass and Ciara. Wearing a low-cut Roberto Cavalli cocktail number and a loose up-do, Spears and the rest of the guests feasted their eyes on jugglers and men on stilts and their taste buds on carnival confections like popcorn and hot dogs. Toward the end of the night CEO and president of Spears’ Jive Records label Barry Weiss presented the comeback queen a circus-themed birthday cake and told her, “We are so proud and so happy to be a part of your life. Looking at your two boys today, it’s an amazing experience.”
Britney Spears will hit the road for her first arena tour in five years next spring in support of Circus. The Pussycat Dolls will support Spears on the “Circus Starring Britney Spears” tour, which kicks off March 3 in New Orleans and concludes April 28 in Chicago. After playing in her home state of Louisiana, Spears will weave her way throughout the nation with stops in Atlanta, Miami, Tampa, Uniondale, N.J. and Boston before heading to Toronto and Montreal. The pop star then will perform for fans in our nation’s capitol before traveling to Uncasville, Conn., Pittsburgh, Houston, Dallas, Kansas City, Mo., Minneapolis, Edmonton, Vancouver and Tacoma. Spears will make stops in California, playing in Sacramento and San Jose and then she will take the stage in Salt Lake City before returning for shows in Los Angeles, Anaheim and Glendale. After a stop in Sin City, Spears will cap off her “Circus Starring Britney Spears” tour in Chicago. Spears is slated to start rehearsals for her upcoming tour, which will be hosted by AEG Live, with longtime choreographer Wade Robson next month. AEG Live CEO Randy Phillips told http://Billboard.com that the company has already sold over 100,000 tickets without even running an ad, so check out http://www.stubhub.com/britney-spears-tickets for Britney Spears tickets to see her live before they are all gone!
The first single from Circus, “Womanizer,” recently set a record for the biggest jump to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 after it leaped from 96-1. The single’s popularity comes on the heels of her sweep at the 208 VMAs, in which she took home Moonmen for Best Pop Video, Video of the Year and Best Female Video. Circus is the follow-up to 2007′s Blackout, and if early sale estimates ring true, Spears’ most recent effort will outsell her last. Britney has also made several television commercials around the time of her album release date, with a performance on Good Morning America and a documentary on MTV titled “Britney: For the Record.” The pop star’s tour is sure to be a success with or without the inevitable media frenzy, as her fans remain as loyal as ever, so get your Britney Spears tickets soon!
